Baby Steps

Kindred,

Life is never what you expect.

Until you have experience it, you do not really know.

When you make good choices, you have a better chance of experiencing good outcomes.

If your choices are in line with the Love and Peace of the Holy Spirit, you will have the best possible outcomes, regardless of the situation.

You do not have to predict the future to try to get at good outcomes, if for every moment of every day you follow the Holy Spirit.

And if everyone everywhere chooses the best possible outcome, what a wonderful world it would be.

How then to connect with the Holy Spirit to know what to do?

Begin with knowing where you want to be in the end, Heaven.

Salvation is the ultimate goal.

To achieve this goal, it requires intention, discernment, dedication and work to being the person the Lord intended you to be.

Not necessary who you want to be, but who you need to be.

In other words, do not indulge in wishful thinking (Heaven is not a guarantee; few will find Heaven’s Gate) or your own selfish desires, but work to build good character in integrity and purpose of spirit with the Holy Spirit.

Before we explore further, for now, let us work on these first few baby steps by pondering, praying and meditating on:

Heaven

Salvation

The Lord’s creation:

Who are you (supposed to be, according to the Lord)?  ____________

Have you strayed from the Lord’s original blueprint?  _____

What must you do to return to the Lord or be a better person?  ____________

What is your character?  (Is it acceptable to the Lord?)  ____________

How different is your character from where it should be?  ____________

How do you build or rebuild your good character?   ___________

What is your purpose (in accordance to the Lord) in life?  ____________

With Love

Kindred,

Even Jesus said that there will always be the poor in the world.

But it does not mean we let the poor suffer or not create as many opportunities as possible for people to better themselves and their family.

The human condition is a part of life.  Whether rich or poor, we are subject to similar constraints in health, in mind, in heart and in the soul.

There are no ways to go through life without ups and downs, and eventually we all die.

Whether an event is sad, tragic or celebratory, it is how we deal with it that define our character and life.

Some deal with their situation in life by hate or blame.

These haters hate another group for taking away jobs that they imagine would have been theirs without betterment of themselves or without innovating and creating new industries and products that actually create the jobs.

Will hate come up with cures for cancer or disease?

Will hate improve the quality of life?

Will hate come up with any kind of productive solutions in understanding or wisdom?

There are many reasons why Jesus taught us not to hate, but to love with humility and compassion.

It is for the love for humanity that Jesus died for us.

It is through the love of humanity that we have the passion to serve and be inspired to come up with creative innovations for betterment of the world and humankind.

As stewards of the earth, we are called to serve the Lord and everybody with love, not hate.

Legacy

Kindred,

Do you raise little pests?

You know the kind that are worse than little brats.

Would you like to be known for the household that raise pests?

How about having a country of pests?

Instead being known as the of Land of the Free, the Land of the Cockroaches.

Or instead of Home of the Brave, Home of the Cowards.

Do you think this reputation will sit well for your children?

Do you think this reputation will sit well with Jesus?

When Jesus upturned the tables of the money-changers in the Temple, do you think it was about forgiveness or the elimination of bad behaviors and sin?

How do you think Jesus would react if you turned the Temple or Church into a hunting ground for sexual predators, child molesters, crass and lascivious behaviors, and cockroaches?

How would Jesus react if you turned your home into a place of pests or someone else home into a place of pests?

Does your friend really want to be remembered as a common pest?

And pass that legacy on?

Do you?

Home

Dear Boo,

You have a tendency to compartmentalize relationships, but separating your heart from yourself to immunize yourself from your feelings is not healthy; especially,  when you fool yourself into believing you have control.

Bottom line, ever heard of this proverb?

Home is where the heart resides.

The heart does not reside in the various compartments of your mind.

Nor does the true heart resides anywhere else.

Here is an Irish blessing to help guide your way home:

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again, may the Lord hold you         in the hollow of His hand.

I hope you find your way home.

Remember

Boo,

Remember the time when __________?

Thank you for your teachings of significance and gifts of love, peace, joy and hope.

The world may forget, but I never will.

Few will understand or see the depth of vision and breadth and width of your wisdom and comprehension.

Fakers will lie, steal, sabotage and defraud, but these nonsense messer-uppers will never compare, because of their negativity and lies.  There are nothing positive to compare.

Those pale imitators are subpar, inadequate, easily forgettable and disregarded.

I will remember the real you.
