The Bible should never be used to manipulate people or even brainwash people into imaginary salvation, especially if really important teachings of the Law are not obeyed or practiced.
These really important teachings are not high ideals unattainable, but pertain to character attributes easy practiced and obeyed.
No scripture reading or preacher can substitute for actual practice of really important teachings of the Law.
Therefore, do not let Pharisees-types mislead you into thinking you can become hypocrites without terrible consequences.
"How terrible for you...You hypocrites! You give to God one tenth, but you neglect to obey the really important teachings of the Law, such as justice and mercy and honesty. These you should practice without neglecting others."
