“I have not yet begun to fight,” answered John Paul Jones during a seemingly hopeless battle against the British on September 23, 1779.


He went on of course to capture the faster, newer, more powerful British ship, Serapis and win the battle even as his own ship, Bonhomme Richard sank.


It just goes to show that in the course of battle, one does not know for certain who will win, how history will be written until the end.  


Usually, the ones with the most tenacity, bravery, wit, sense of humor and luck will endure, because they have the will and the skill and the fighting spirit to see it through till the end.
