With deep sorrow, we are writing another epitaph of another tragedy of another mass shooting in the United States, the death of 19 elementary children and two elementary teachers*.
Thus far, five months into the year, we have experienced over 200 mass shootings, of which 27 are school shootings.
The trauma felt by everyone with a heart and soul, cannot match the trauma felt by the elementary children, teachers and their parents at the Ross Elementary School in Texas.
"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."
- Matthew 6:24
Let us ask our representatives who they serve;
And let us take action.
"For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead."
- James 2:26
*Though this second deadliest elementary school shooting happened yesterday, the trauma feels like it is everyday.
