What is the meaning of life? What is its purpose?
Is it about how much wealth and power you can hoard until you're so vain that nothing else matters but your reflection of narcissistic perfection?
Is it about absolute power and control until you're so Satanic that you think you're a god—invincible, insatiable, and immortal?
No?
So what is it about?
Is it about what you can do to harm and crush others to get your own way? Does the end justify the means because winning is everything?
It is possible to win with game cheats, fraud, and Ponzi-like schemes, careening and corrupting people toward unsustainable systems that will become dystopian nightmares, Third World hellholes, and apocalyptic catastrophes and ruins.
And initially it would be great, like huge gains from subprime mortgages, until the inevitable fallout and collapse—and you live on in history in infamy, cursed by future generations and all of humanity. Much like Pontius Pilate, Judas, and those unholy the high priests of abusive power, after crucifying Christ.
However, is this what life is about?
What is life if, at its end, there are no fruitful experiences and remembrances of what gives life meaning on our lifelong spiritual journey?
What is life's purpose if, at the end, there is no salvation?
