The funny thing about power, at least Caesar’s power, is that the person holding it thinks that's all there is—all the cards.
Though this person may also hold some cards within their area of talent, the powerful don't hold all the cards in existence—not even close.
If, in the name of Caesar, the power card is used to cut down trees, then the trees will be cut down.
If the powerful choose to hurt the innocent, then the innocent will be harmed. If the powerful choose to lay waste to all that is holy, then the holy will be desecrated.
If the powerful then cut down the fruit trees, there will be no more fruit trees, including those bearing healing fruits and innovation seeds.
And if the innocent are harmed and crimes against humanity are committed, regardless of whether justice is served, the guilt of those atrocities will continue to stain and corrupt. The same applies to the guilt of desecrating the holy: damnation.
Only the one with the talent to find a cure for specific diseases or to create or discover a particular innovation holds these cards; no one else holds the same cards, however powerful.
If destroyed, the cards bearing cures and treatments for that specific disease, or the cards bearing that innovation, also vanish from the realm of possibility.
For instance, Leonardo da Vinci was the only person who could create his own works and innovations; if he were blocked, overwritten, or destroyed, none of his works would have come into reality.
The powerful, obsessed with power and control, will never understand or respect the cards in the hands of the innocent, especially the gentle.
Why bother when the superpowerful believe all the cards are in their hands, and that cutting down other trees would make them all the more powerful, leaving them as the only trees standing in a decimated forest, without recognizing the inevitability of ruling over barren land?
Why bother checking with the Lord or connecting with the Holy Spirit when all they see is power: how to manipulate it, how to control others with it, and how to use and abuse it for dominance and selfish gain?
Power is so funny that sometimes it forgets itself and all knowledge until it accumulates nothing but abuse, overblown by its power trips, until it's no longer recognizable as power—until it's nothing but grandiose ignorance and harm.
