Hypothetical situation:

If a madman with a gun on a plane ordered all the passengers, including you, and all carry-on baggage to the back of the plane, would you do as you were told?

What if all your immediate family members were on that same plane?  Would you still obey?

By redistributing the weight to the tail, you shift the center of gravity too far aft, making the tail unstable.  This results in centrifugal force pulling the tail downward, and once the plane begins to spin, it flattens out only to enter an unrecoverable tailspin, leading to an inevitable crash.

All the people on the plane, including the madman, would die as a result.

Knowing this, would you still do as you were told?

Post-traumatic stress disorder, PTSD, was not recognized until 1980.  Before then, it was called "shell shock" and "combat fatigue."  Most war-related traumas, including civilian ones, were never spoken about or diagnosed.

Regrettably, when silence surrounds trauma amid massive crimes against humanity, the true consequences become muffled over time, especially amid the rush to forget the nightmares and death.

How many in Germany remember that at the end of World War II, the Nazi economy was in total collapse?

The Nazi infrastructure was in ruins; Germany had lost control of all conquered lands, cutting off external resources; their currency was worthless; citizens resorted to barter, further worsened by enormous, unpaid debts, leading to mass starvation with about 100,000 deaths from hunger.

How many German people perished in the war? 

An estimated 5.3 to 7.4 million Germans alone. And about 70 to 85 million people worldwide.

The tragic end of this senseless war, marked by silence, does not diminish its reign of terror. Yet, it should, because history risks repeating itself with possibly even greater consequences, especially when “madmen" ignore the inevitable fallout of unsustainable systems rooted in destruction and violence.

Sadly, future generations will remain trapped in unresolved past traumas and unspoken mistakes, never fully recognized or understood from beginning to end, their initial causes to their horrific outcomes.

Unfortunately, this reality makes future apocalyptic tragedies and complete economic collapses increasingly plausible.

Will you recognize the dangers of shifting the center of gravity too far to the tail, the unsustainable nature of aggression, violence, and destruction?

Or will you repeat the same historic tragedies to worsening degrees, but expect different results in the same unsustainable systems?
