Fatal errors, whether mortal or spiritual or even economic, are just deadly outcomes of deaths in varied forms.
In pondering death, the question becomes whether, as Shakespeare wrote in his famous soliloquy, "To be or not to be," it is nobler to endure "the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune," or to "take arms against a sea of troubles and, by opposing end them"?
Or whether to die ultimately in untimely or timely death, with or without a fight, and face certain death in the unknown with or without the Lord.
“For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause…."
In this pause, shall we live a life of fear and cowardice or bravely fight against troubles, injustices, and harm?
Shall we live a life with or without the Lord? A life in service and duty to the Lord and humanity or a life in service of self and crimes against humanity?
What kind of life would it be without love and the peace of the Holy Spirit? A life in spiritual death, fear, and hate is the same eternal death that shall come for those without spiritual life. Then what is the point of life?
Where are you in this pause of the to be or not to be?
Are you the embodiment of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)? Where is your heart, mind, and spirit filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control?
Are you living a fruitful life with Christ (John 15:5)? Are you sowing seeds of promise, not of deceit and betrayal to humanity and the Lord?
In the end, fatal errors not corrected lead to certain death. The question then becomes, what kind of death?
Will it be an economic death, resulting in devastating market crashes and endless cycles of economic depression?
Will it be untimely or timely death?
Will it be an eternal death, filled with the agonies of damnation in hell, or an eternal life, with redemption and salvation in heaven?
To be or not to be.
