To Be Brave Or Not To Be

“The better part of valor is discretion.”

This idiom suggests that it is wise to be cautious or to avoid confrontation, especially when the risks of taking action are significant.

In essence, it implies that it is smarter to retreat from a dangerous situation rather than confront it recklessly without a strategy.

Restraint is a crucial aspect of valor, demonstrating the ability to exercise self-control, which is part of showing courage under pressure.

Over time, we come to see the true measure of a person, revealing their true colors.

Actions speak louder than words.

We will see in action who has true bravery and courage under fire.

For only weak-minded individuals, who are insecure and lack courage, would lose their self-control in peaceful situations that require a firm resolve.
