✝️

Life is transient and can sometimes feel as fleeting as a dream.

Upon death, the spirit can experience eternal life or spiritual death, depending on an individual's conduct during their lifetime.

While some Christians may hold the misguided belief that all that is required for eternal life is faith in Jesus Christ, this understanding is not the complete truth.

Consider the fable of a group of blind men who have never encountered an elephant before. Each one is allowed to feel a part of the elephant and describes what they believe to be true based on their limited perspective. Although none of them can describe the whole animal, each insists they are correct.

Similarly, when discerning complex concepts or situations like salvation, it is essential to consider the entire process, outcome, or overall picture.

According to Christ's teachings, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is unforgivable and is considered an eternal sin (see Matthew 12:31-32, Mark 3:29, and Luke 12:10).

Blasphemy can encompass anything against the Holy Spirit, including opposition to the Holy Spirit's work and desecration of the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Moreover, belief in Christ alone is insufficient for eternal life.

We know this because Christ Himself stated to believers, "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

On that day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’

And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’” (Matthew 7:21-23).

Therefore, we must embody our belief in the Lord with faithfulness and lawfulness in order to cultivate the humility and purity of heart necessary to receive the light of salvation.

The alternative is spiritual death—a life lived in sin that, if unrepentant upon death, leads to either the destruction of the soul or eternal punishment in hell (see Matthew 10:28, Luke 12:5, Matthew 25:46, 2 Thessalonians 1:9, Revelation 20:10-15).

Reflect on your soul and seek peace with the Lord while you can, for once you die, your journey ends, and Judgment will be pronounced by the Lord.

The choice of who you want to be is yours in life. The choice of where you will be sorted and end up is the Lord's.
