Much Is Given, Much Is Required

"From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked."

                                         —  Luke 12:48

**What is our mission on Earth?**

We are called to be stewards, caring for both people and the Earth, and to use our time, talents, and resources for the greater good.

Therefore, when much is given, much is required.

"This statement means that when someone receives significant blessings, opportunities, or resources, they also bear a greater responsibility to use those advantages for good, to help others, and to contribute to society.

**Responsibility and Accountability:**

This principle emphasizes that with privilege comes responsibility. Those who have been given more are expected to be more accountable for their actions and to use their gifts to benefit others.

**Not Just Material Wealth:**

This principle applies not only to material wealth but also to talents, knowledge, opportunities, and even the grace of God, according to some Bible study websites.

**Higher Standard:**

Those who possess more are held to a higher standard of behavior and contribution.

**Example:**

In the context of education, someone who has the opportunity to attend a prestigious university is expected to use that education to make a positive impact on the world.

**Consequences of Neglect:**

The phrase implies that failing to live up to the responsibilities associated with what has been given can lead to negative consequences."*
