Kindred,

Isn't it strange that you are supposed to "lean not to your own understanding" [Proverbs 3:5], when all you know is your own understanding.

Better to look at this problem from a different angle.

What grounds you?

Again, I know it sounds strange to ask about the connections that ground you to the physical world and yourself, when you are supposed to lean on (spiritual) understanding outside of yourself.

However, it is important to note;

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

                                 - Matthew 6:21

The values that ground and guide you, determine where your heart is, who you are and the level of your connection and understanding with yourself and the world outside yourself.

What I am really asking is, are you grounded only to the body, materialistic world of Caesar in power, control and the superficial (shallow beauty of the) mundane?

Or are you grounded to the Holy Spirit outside of yourself and within yourself?

The path to heaven and salvation is not by way of Caesar in power or superpower, not by way of earthly means of the body, not by way of force or control, but by the way of the Lord and the Holy Spirit -

By having the ability, grounded in the instructions of the Jesus Christ, to seek and see with a purity of heart, in order to walk the path of salvation and to enter the narrow gates of heaven*.
