Read a funny classical joke this morning:
A man runs into a friend of his in the city.
The friend acts surprised; “I thought you were dead!” he says.
“No,” the man says, “I mean, here I am. I’m alive.”
And the friend gives him a doubtful look and says, “Well, the person who told me you were dead is much more reliable than you are!”
😂🤣
Isn't this joke so appropriate today?
Being and having living proof is not enough.
Proof of life is not enough.
Nor proof of death.
Evidence? Nope.
Science? Nope.
Faith?
Depends upon how it is preached and by whom, right?
It is what we want to believe, spoon fed us to by our idols and tribal leaders, not who we should believe and need to believe for our well-being and safety.
Salvation that is easily obtainable.
Forgiveness that is always given, without remorse and the confession of sin(s).
Never the narrow path or way, but forgetfulness in sins, an absolution without salvation; yet somehow believing that one is saved in Jesus Christ without ever practicing true Christianity to love and respect the Lord and love and respect what belongs to the Lord.
