What was it that caused so much fear and hatred of Jesus Christ?
His teachings of love and peace?
His abilities to heal the sick and cast out demons?
The many miracles Jesus Christ performed?
Even if you disagreed with Jesus's teachings at the time, does it rise to the level of murder by crucifixion?
Let's look further back to the time of Socrates...
Socrates is known as the father of political philosophy, ethical philosophy and his Socratic method the foundation of American legal education.
Yet, how did he die?
He was found guilty of corrupting the minds of the youth of Athens and not believing in the gods of the state.
He was sentenced to death by hemock.
Fast forward to the time of Galileo Galilei, the father of modern physics, the scientific method, observational astronomy and modern science.
He was tried by the Inquisition, found guilty and was forced to recant his Copernicanism belief that the the earth revolved around the sun.
Galileo spent the rest of his life under house arrest.
