There are those that fear if Death shall visit them today, that they cannot even make it into Heaven or even Purgatory.
There are definite standards for entry into Heaven and even Purgatory.
What are the standards for making it into Heaven?
Love and Peace.
The kind of love described in
1 Corinthians 13: 4-9
The kind of peace that comes from obeying Christ's Commandments to love the Lord and to love thy neighbor as yourself.
There are no loopholes in the Commandments laid out by the Lord; there is no sinning in any of the Commandments and no allowing of harm to come to innocents or people.
Failure to obey the standards laid out by the Lord will probably result in the person not being able to pass through Heaven's Gate.
Then what about Purgatory?
Easy some think, but what are the standards?
Yes, there are standards to making it into Purgatory.
Take a guess at to what they might be.
A simple way is to calculate, if unrepentant sinners are condemned to Hell, where does the rest end up?
The standard now becomes clear, if a person sins that person must confess sin, repent and atone.
From sin, which is a fall from grace, there must be an attempt to regain standing with the Lord and clean oneself up.
If fully redeemed in atonement and grace, then not only is Purgatory open, but Heaven is also a possibility.
The standard for Purgatory simply is the college try at repentance for those that are not so good and those that have been bad.
P.s.
The Lord has the highest and deepest standards for goodness and good conduct.
