You do not own anything.
If you truly own anything then you could take it with you when die.
(What can you take with you on your person when you die?)
Everything belongs to the Lord.
Your children are consigned to you for your care.
You have temporary custody of stuff and the responsibility (while on earth to be stewards).
Stealing or abusing what belongs to the Lord is sacriledgious.
When you sin, you foresake the Lord, the Commandments and the possiblity of salvation.
Power is an illusion.
Any real power worth anything belongs to the Lord (entry into Heaven).
The Lord decides.
