"Knowledge itself is power," a phrase first attributed to Sir Francis Bacon in 1597, highlights the intrinsic value of knowledge.
Thomas Jefferson expanded on this idea in 1817, stating, "Knowledge is power; that knowledge is safety, and that knowledge is happiness."
If knowledge is indeed power and intelligence is also a form of power, then a lack of knowledge or intelligence—ignorance—indicates a deficiency in true power.
Additionally, if the abuse of power stems from ignorance, then misusing power due to ignorance reflects a failure to harness the strength that comes from knowledge or intelligence.
Lacking knowledge or intelligence does not lead to safety or security; instead, it breeds ignorance, which ultimately does not bring happiness.
If the abuse of power does not yield true happiness—instead resulting in ignorance, mistreatment, and destruction—it cannot lead to salvation.
True knowledge, as found in Jesus Christ, the Lord, and the Holy Spirit, fosters positive connections with ourselves, with humanity, and with the world.
It is this knowledge that enables inspirational and transformative progress toward genuine safety, security, and happiness.
Ultimately, it is the knowledge of the Holy Trinity that leads to salvation through the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, holy knowledge is salvation.
And thus, in life, where should we direct our focus and energies?
